"The beauty of having the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a yoga student is that you can adapt your practice based on your experience and what you feel. You don't have to overthink this."

Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM is a practice thousands of years old and has changed little over the centuries and nature is deeply intertwined in TCM. Chinese Medicine doctors look at the balance of body, mind, and spirit to determine how to restore qi (life force energy), the yin-yang balance, and good health.

The basic concept for TCM is that any imbalance to Qi can cause disease and illness. To restore balance to the individual, Chinese Medicine doctors will look at the whole picture using Yin Yang Theory and 5 Element Theory.
