01.16.26 Taking a 15-minute yoga break

First of all, if you do not have 15 minutes in your schedule to step away and take time for YOU, then you have wayyy too much going on. It’s important to take time for yourself and move your body in a way that feels useful and fun even.

Your 15-minute yoga break doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You don’t need expensive equipment, and you definitely don’t need to feel guilty about taking time for yourself. Not. one. bit. So stop feeling guilty or worried that something else might not get done. Those dishes in the sink? They will be fine. Don’t have your yoga mat? That’s ok, grab a chair and do some chair yoga or just a standing sequence. My point is, building small shorter practices daily can really be transformational.

If you are having a hard time getting started, that’s totally normal! Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. All you have to do is just start somewhere. Try starting with just a 15 minute seated and kneeling warm up where you stay close to your mat to re-connect to your mat. Or maybe you just have time for a 15 minute seated breathwork practice that includes a gentle neck stretch and some acupressure. The options are endless and I encourage you to just start somewhere.
